2.1 Rael's claims and this website's comment

2.1.1 Encounter with Elohim

2.1.1.1 Encounter

Rael released some books and claimed as follows.
His original name is Claude Vorilhon, he was born in Vichy, Allier, France in 1946 CE and he became a motor journalist. He moved and lived in Clermont-Ferrand with his wife and children. He encountered an alien spacecraft (UFO) and met an extraterrestrial like an Oriental small human in a volcanic crater of Clermont-Ferrand on December 13, 1973 CE. The height of the extraterrestrial was 1.2m.

In the recent version of his books as of 2013 CE, Rael ambiguously tells the physical appearance of the ET with a greenish faced depiction as if he were a Grey (or a J-Rod) mentioned later. However, in some early versions of his books, the books told the ET was like an Oriental small man, while the ET's skin was white with a slightly greenish tinge a bit like someone with liver trouble, with illustrations of a Chinese-like aged small man with 30cm black hair and 10cm black beard.

*However, after a while, Yahweh's Oriental-like descriptions were removed and Yahweh's Chinese-like illustrations were replaced with Grey-like (or J-Rod-like) illustrations with black hair and a black beard like in the following websites' illustrations from "Space a go go" website.

The ET called himself Yahweh of Elohim in the Bible. Yahweh told Rael about the origin of humankind on the Earth. The extraterrestrials are humankind just small. They developed space navigation technology, found Earth, and visited Earth to conduct genetic engineering experiments. He was told that "Elohim" in the Bible means "those who came from the sky." Their mother tongue is like ancient Hebrew and the distance to their planet is roughly one light year. (He says interstellar distance estimation by scientists of the Earth is incorrect.) Claude Vorilhon was given a new name Rael and told it means "the light of Elohim."

2.1.1.2 Choice of the Bibles for Better Understanding

As far as the original texts of the Bible, the Old Testament is mostly written in Hebrew language, the New Testament is written in Greek language. (Specifically, the practical standard of the Hebrew Old Testament would be Westminster Leningrad Codex, which descended from ben Asher's Masoretic Text. The practical standard of the Greek New Testament would be Textus Receptus or Novum Testamentum Graece.)
On the condition that an outline of the Bible has been learned in English, the best Bible choice would be the Hebrew/Greek Bible with interlinear word-for-word literal translation.
"Scripture4all Foundation" provides proper texts.
"Scripture4all" http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/Hebrew_Index.htm
"Orthodox Jewish Bible" (in English with some simple Hebrew words) might be helpful for it.
The second best would be New King James Version (released in 1982 CE) and English Standard Version (released in 2001 CE) may follow. New King James seems to have both sufficient literal (word-for-word) accuracy and elegance inherited from KJV. ESV is also excellent in literal accuracy and modern readability. NASB (released in 1971 CE and revised in 1995 CE) is regarded as the most literal (word-for-word) including the order of words, however it includes inappropriate mistranslation. (Since the Amplified Bible (AMP) explains traditional interpretation of Christianity and those can be ignored, AMP may follow to refer to the traditional interpretation.) King James, Septuagint, and Vulgate include mistranslation, but as mentioned later, this mistranslation rather enables to expose a plot of the Hata family in Japan.

2.1.1.3 Examination of the Meaning of "Elohim"

2.1.1.3.1 Elohim

Going through the Hebrew Bible such as "Scripture4all," one can clearly notice the names written are "אלהים (Elohim)" or "יהוה אלהים (Yahweh Elohim)" instead of "God" or "the Lord God." (The Hebrew alphabet is written from right to left) According to traditional Hebrew grammar or in the ordinary sense, "Yahweh Elohim" means "Yahweh of Elohim" as "Ben Adam" means "son of Adam."
* "The Names of God AHRC" http://www.ancient-hebrew.org/24_namesofgod.html
According to traditional theology like "Jewish Encyclopedia.com," the meaning of Elohim is said to be unknown or sometimes said to be "to be awed" or "strong one." The theory saying "to be awed" is based on the assumption that Elohim is derived from old Arabic verb "alih." The other theory saying "strong one" is based on the assumption that the root word of Elohim is אול: AWL meaning "to be strong." Since it is difficult to explain Hebrew alphabet, then employing transliteration method (romanization) from Hebrew to Roman script (Latin script), אלהים: Elohim can be transliterated as ALHYM. (Though there are various ways of transliteration (romanization).)
The way of transliteration (romanization) in this website is as follows.
א=Alef=A, ב=Bet=B, ג=Gimel=G, ד=Dalet=D, ה=He=H, ו=Vav=W, ז=Zayin=Z, ח=Het=X,
ט=Tet=T, י=Yod=Y, (כ(ך=Kaf=K, ל=Lamed=L, (מ(ם=Mem=M, (נ(ן=Nun=N, ס=Samekh=S,
ע=Ayin=E, (פ(ף=Pe=pf, (צ(ץ=Tsadi=ts, ק=Qof=Q, ר=Resh=R, ש=Shin=sh, ת=Tav=th
(כ ,מ ,נ ,פ ,צ change into ך ,ם ,ן ,ף ,ץ respectively when they come to the end of a word.)
ALHYM is the plural form of ALWH: אלוה and its root word may be ALH: אלה.

2.1.1.3.2 Semitic Root Theory

Concerning the theory of root words on the Semitic languages, the Persian linguist Sibawayh (760-796 CE) could be an early pioneer of root theory on Arabic. Subsequently, the Masoretic Text (practical standard) of the Hebrew Bible was established by ben Asher in Palestina around 950 CE, the Hebrew linguist Hayyuj around 1000 CE in Cordoba (southern Iberia) claimed that each Hebrew root word is basically composed of 3 letters (triliteral), while some scholars say root words were originally 2 letters.

2.1.1.3.3 Original Meaning of Hebrew Letters and Basic Synthesis of Hebrew Words

Other than that, each Hebrew letter has original meaning respectively. For example, the original meaning of Alef is "ox head," it commonly means "strength." The original meaning of Bet is "tent" or "house."
The combined word אב: AB then means "strength of house" and consequently it means "father."
The original meaning of each Hebrew letter is in some cases controversial. Despite the controversial situation, the following "Ancient Hebrew Research Center website" provides excellent interpretation, while it would be an independent thinker. For example, AHRC claims that the original meaning of נ (Nun) is "seed," while other theories claim that Nun means "snake" or "fish."
"Ancient Hebrew Alphabet AHRC" http://www.ancient-hebrew.org/2_alphabet.html
"Ancient Hebrew Alphabet Nun" http://www.ancient-hebrew.org/alphabet_letters_nun.html
* "Nun (Letter) in Wikipedia" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nun_(letter)
* "Ancient Hebrew Vocabulary AHRC" http://www.ancient-hebrew.org/2_vocab.html
Thus some basic words derive from or consist of the original meanings of some Hebrew letters.

2.1.1.3.4 Synthesis Picking Out from Root Words

However, in addition to that, according to Rael, for example, a complex root word comes from other 3 (or 2) root words picking out one letter from the basic root word respectively. In short, many Hebrew root words are abbreviations as OMG is the abbreviation of "Oh My God" and HTH is "Hope This Helps" in English. For example, Rael says Rael (RAL: ראל) means "light of Elohim," "light" is AWR: אור, and R: ר would be picked out from AWR. (AL in RAL: ראל is from ALWH or ALHYM (the root is ALH). )
* "Names of God AHRC" http://www.ancient-hebrew.org/24_namesofgod.html
For example, a complex root word comes from other 3 root words and it's the abbreviation of the 3 root words.

2.1.1.3.5 Synthesis Picking Out from Sentences (Kabbalistic Notarikon)

Similar, but extended mechanism can be seen in Notarikon of Kabbalah.
* "Notarikon in Wikipedia" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Notarikon
As mentioned later, Kabbalah is an edifice of hidden knowledge in the Bible particularly in the Pentateuch (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy). Kabbalah arose around 1200 CE. Gematria and Notarikon (and possibly Temurah) are the methods of Kabbalah to find the secret meanings in the Bible.

Gematria is the method replacing each Hebrew letter of a word with a number and summing up the numbers. For example, as far as יהוה (YHWH), י (Y) is replaced with "10," ה (H) is replaced with "5", ו (W) with "6", again ה (H) with "5", then יהוה (YHWH) changes into 10+5+6+5=26.

Notarikon is the method picking out Hebrew letters from nearby Hebrew sentences, connecting the picked Hebrew letters, and presuming a word hidden in the Bible. As exemplified as a Bible code at the beginning of Genesis, picking out ת (th) from בראשית (BRAshYth), ו (W) from תהום (thHWM), ר (R) from וירא (WYRA), ה (H) from אלהים (ALHYM), then the hidden word תורא (thRAH) is presumed. (Temurah is the method replacing a Hebrew letter with another Hebrew letter, for example, using "ב" instead of "א".) Medieval Kabbalists around 1250 CE particularly in the Holy Roman Empire and Abraham Abulafia claimed benefit and legitimacy of Gematria and Notarikon.

2.1.1.3.6 Synthesis Picking Out from "These That Came from the Heavens"

Like Notarikon, the Hebrew website of the Raelian Movement explains the meaning of "elohim" that "ALWHYM" is the abbreviation of "ALH shBAW MHshMYM" in ancient Hebrew language.
According to Hebrew dictionary, ALH is "these," shBAW is "that came," and MHshMYM is "from the heavens (or skies)." ("M" is "from," "H" is "the," "shMYM" is frequently used in the Bible and it means "heavens" or "skies.")
"ALHYM" is written in the Bible (Hebrew Old Testament: the Westminster Leningrad Codex (WLC)), while Raelian's website suggests "ALWHYM" (W is added). Yet, the Hebrew New Testament Habrit Hakhadasha/Haderekh (HHH) (Hebrew Living New Testament), translated from Greek or English to Hebrew, commonly use ALWHYM meaning "God" or "someone." Other than that, the Hebrew Old Testament (WLC) commonly describes the singular form of ALHYM as ALWH. Then, ALWHYM would be just the modern formal form of ALHYM, while the Hebrew Old Testament (WLC) never include ALWHYM. Then, ALWH, ALWHYM, and ALHYM seem come from ALH shBAW MHshMYM.

On the other hand, Strong's Hebrew Dictionary, AHRC, lingvosoft, or doitinhebrew might be helpful. Otherwise google with "Strong's," "Hebrew," and the question word to find "Strong's number."
