2.1.7 Modern Times Beginning of the New Era

Yahweh says 1946 CE is the first year of the new era. He defined 1946 CE as "year one after Claude Rael." According to his definition, 1976 CE is called "year 31 after Claude Rael," "year 31 of the era of Aquarius," "year 31 of the age of the Apocalypse," or "year 31 of the golden age." People on the Earth became to fly in the sky by airplane and carry voices to all over the world through radio wave. This is the prophesied Golden Age. This is also the time when the people of Israel recovered their country and the age of aquarius. The plan has been scheduled in accordance with the axial procession of the Earth, astrology. Elohim started experiments on the Earth 22,000 years ago and scheduled the beginning of the end time at the beginning of the age of aquarius. The following verse implies the day is the time when the age changes from pisces to aquarius.

*"And there shall be on that day, says the Lord, The sound of a mournful cry from the Fish Gate, A wailing from the Second Quarter, And a loud crashing from the hills" (Zep 1:10).

Yahweh says Israel was recovered in 1947 CE as prophesied.

*"Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west; I will say to the north, Give them up! And to the south, Do not keep them back! Bring My sons from afar, And My daughters from the ends of the earth Everyone who is called by My name, Whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him" (Isa 43:5-7).

Yahweh says that Parable of the Fig Tree (in Luke) implies UFOs and the end time.

*"Then He spoke to them a parable: Look at the fig tree, and all the trees. When they are already budding, you see and know for yourselves that summer is now near. So you also, when you see these things happening, know that the kingdom of God is near" (Luk 21:29-31).

Yahweh also says he chose a messenger after the first atomic explosion in 1945 CE. Jewish Eschatology

Jewish Eschatology consists of concentration of Israeli, emergence of Messiah descending from David, resurrection of dead righteous persons, and life after death, while further details of Jewish Eschatology are controversial.
Rael's claims wouldn't conflict with Jewish Eschatology.
* "Jewish Eschatology in Wikipedia" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jewish_eschatology Identification of the Olivet Discourse

Since Parable of the Fig Tree would be identified as emergence of UFOs including Rael's encounter, the Olivet Discourse (e.g. Mat 24) prior to the Parable of the Fig Tree could be identified as events involving WWII. The "Great Tribulation" of the Olivet Discourse would be WWII. The "Coming of the Son of Man" would be emergence of small ETs after WWII.

*"Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age? And Jesus answered and said to them: Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, I am the Christ, and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My names sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Therefore when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (whoever reads, let him understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elects sake those days will be shortened. Then if anyone says to you, Look, here is the Christ! or There! do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand. Therefore if they say to you, Look, He is in the desert! do not go out; or Look, He is in the inner rooms! do not believe it. For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For wherever the carcass is, there the eagles will be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is nearat the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away" (Mat 24:3-35).

Then, "nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." is "World War II."
"Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you" might be "the Holocaust" or a massacre of other descendants of the Israelites, the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
As mentioned later involving "Requests to Humankind," nuclear energy and nuclear weapons are a kind of the primary concerns of Yahweh. In addition, as mentioned later involving "Revelation," the beast of 666 in Revelation is nuclear weapons.
Then "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" is "the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima, Japan."
"Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." is "alien spacecrafts (Unidentified Flying Objects)."
"they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." is "Independence of Israel." Daniel's Visions

According to Rael, Yahweh explains some verses of Daniel's visions in the Book of Daniel as follows.

*"Now on the twenty-fourth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, that is, the Tigris, I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose waist was girded with gold of Uphaz! His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze in color, and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude. And I, Daniel, alone saw the vision, for the men who were with me did not see the vision; but a great terror fell upon them, so that they fled to hide themselves" (Dan 10:4-7).

This glorious man is an extraterrestrial with a space suit.

*"'At that time Michael shall stand up, The great prince who stands watch over the sons of your people; And there shall be a time of trouble, Such as never was since there was a nation, Even to that time. And at that time your people shall be delivered, Every one who is found written in the book. And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, Some to everlasting life, Some to shame and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise shall shine Like the brightness of the firmament, And those who turn many to righteousness Like the stars forever and ever. But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase.'
Then I, Daniel, looked; and there stood two others, one on this riverbank and the other on that riverbank. And one said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river,
'How long shall the fulfillment of these wonders be?'
Then I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever, that it shall be for a time, times, and half a time; and when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished. Although I heard, I did not understand.
Then I said, 'My lord, what shall be the end of these things?'
And he said, 'Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand, but the wise shall understand. And from the time that the daily sacrifice is time that the daily sacrifice is taken away, and the abomination of desolation is set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred and ninety days. Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days. But you, go your way till the end; for you shall rest, and will arise to your inheritance at the end of the days'" (Dan 12:1-13).

"when the power of the holy people has been completely shattered, all these things shall be finished. Although I heard, I did not understand." means that when Israel reactivates, it will be the end time and the secrets (seals) will be revealed.

The abomination of desolation (nuclear weapons) appears at that time. Scheduled Nuclear Weapons

The circumstances around the atomic explosion in 1945 CE seem to have been intentionally caused by Yahweh.
The reasons are, firstly as mentioned above and before, Jesus' prophecies about the end time meet the circumstances around the atomic explosion. In reference to Matthew 24, "nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." is "World War II." "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you" might be "the Holocaust" or a massacre of other descendants of the Israelites. "Therefore when you see the 'abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" is "the Atomic Bomb on Hiroshima, Japan." "Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory." is "small Human-looking ET on alien spacecraft (Unidentified Flying Object)." "they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other." is "Independence of Israel." (The reason why "the holy place" is "Hiroshima" is mentioned later.)
Secondly, atomic bomb's development was promoted in relation to (seeming) Jewish persecution and practiced mostly by Jewish scientists.
Thirdly, August 6, the date of the first atomic explosion on Hiroshima corresponds to the date of the Transfiguration of Jesus as if to commemorate Jesus.
* "Transfiguration of Jesus in Wikipedia" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transfiguration_of_Jesus
In addition as mentioned later, Yahweh says "666" in Revelation means nuclear weapons and they have been scheduled to appear in the 666th generation of humankind. Emergence of Messiah (Maitreya) Emergence of Messiah (Maitreya)

As mentioned above, Jewish Eschatology expects emergence of Messiah descending from David.
On the other hand, as mentioned below, Buddhist Canon prophesies emergence of Maitreya Buddha.
Messiah and Maitreya are synonyms and the original meaning of Maitreya is "friend," "loving-kindness," or "benevolence" descended from an Indo-Iranian god "Mitra" in Sanskrit word, who is responsible for friendly contract. (Pali words descended from Sanskrit, Metteya in Pali came from Maitreya in Sanskrit.) (As far as grammar and words, Sanskrit preceded to Pali prakrit, while Buddha's language could be Magadhi prakrit. As far as letters, there would have been no letters in the age of Buddha.)
* "Mitra in Wikipedia" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitra
Rael claims that he is the prophesied Maitreya (Messiah) born in France. Mary Magdalene's Emigration to Marseille, Gaul

One thing related to his claim originating in France could be Mary Magdalene's emigration from Judea to Marseille, Gaul, present-day France. As mentioned later, Mary Magdalene possibly emigrated to Marseille and gave birth to Jesus' child. Regardless of whether she gives birth to Jesus' child or not, her possible bloodline or relatives dwelling around France would be worth producing the Messiah. Maitreya (Messiah) in Buddhist Canon Maitreya (Messiah) in Buddhist Canon

Rael claims texts of Buddhism prophesy appearance of the new Buddha, Maitreya, around 2000 CE and Rael himself is the prophesied Maitreya.
"Maitreya" (transliteration from Sanskrit, in later Devanagari letters: ) is a synonym of "Metteyya" (transliteration from Pali) and "Messiah" in English, since these terms are the Indo-European family of languages and supposedly all from an Indo-Iranian god Mitra.
* "Maitreya in Wikipedia" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maitreya

Buddha means "enlightened one" in Sanskrit. Buddhism also tells that there were many Buddhas. Gautama Buddha was not the first Buddha. The last Buddha in this universe will be Maitreya (friendly benevolent enlighted one) (Metteyya in Pali).
* "List of the Named Buddhas in Wikipedia" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_the_named_Buddhas

As far as the Pali Canon, for example, Buddhavamsa XXVII 18-19 of Khuddaka Nikaya, Sutta Pitaka, Tripitaka of the Pali Canon tells as follows.
XXVII Miscellany on the Buddhas 18-19
"In this Bhadda-eon there have been three leaders, Kakusandha, Konagamana and the leader Kassapa.
I at the present time am the Self-Awakened One, and there will be Metteyya. These are the five Buddhas, wise ones, compassionate toward the world."
* "Translation of Khuddaka Nikaya (Buddhavamsa) Download" http://elibrary.ibc.ac.th/node/48
Cakkavatti Sihanada Sutta 25, Digha Nikaya 26, Sutta Pitaka, Tripitaka of the Pali Canon also prophesies emergence of perfectly enlighted one Maitreya (Metteyya in Pali) as follows.
25. "And in that time of the people with an eighty thousand-year life-span, there will arise in the world a Blessed Lord, an Arahant fully-enlightened Buddha named Metteyya, endowed with wisdom and conduct, a Well-Farer, Knower of the worlds, incomparable Trainer of men to be tamed, Teacher of gods and humans, enlightened and blessed, just as I am now. He will thoroughly know by his own super-knowledge, and proclaim, this universe with its devas and maras and Brahmas, its ascetics and Brahmins, and this generation with its princes and people, just as I do now. He will teach the Dhamma, lovely in its beginning, lovely in its middle, lovely in its ending, in the spirit and in the letter, and proclaim, just as I do now, the holy life in its fullness and purity. He will be attended by a company of thousands of monks, just as I am attended by a company of hundreds."

According to Culla Vagga II. 253, Vinaya Pitaka, Tripitaka of the Pali Canon, Gautama told his disciple Ananda that one thousand years would be paradoxically halved to five hundred years about the declination of Gautama's teachings. The preceding prophecy about Gautama teachings' declination and one thousand years would be Anagatavamsa, which was told his disciple Sariputra (Sariputta in Pali), while Anagatavamsa was later compiled around 1200 CE along with later comments to Pali literature tied to the Pali Canon. Anagatavamsa states that Gautama prophesied five periods of Buddhism declination should be experienced until the emergence of Maitreya after Gautama's death and they are five thousand years in total.
Consequently, incorporating Culla Vagga with Anagatavamsa, the end of Buddhism declination and the emergence of Maitreya would be about 2,500 years after Gautama's death, around 2000 CE.

Culla Vagga states as follows.
"Then the venerable Ânanda drew near to where The Blessed One was; and having drawn near and greeted The Blessed One, he sat down respectfully at one side. And seated respectfully at one side, the venerable Ânanda spoke to The Blessed One as follows:
'Mahâ-Pajâpatî the Gotamid, Reverend Sir, has accepted the eight weighty regulations; the sister of the mother of The Blessed One has become ordained.'
'If, Ânanda, women had not retired from household life to the houseless one, under the Doctrine and Discipline announced by The Tathâgata, religion, Ânanda, would long endure; a thousand years would the Good Doctrine abide. But since, Ânanda, women have now retired from household life to the houseless one, under the Doctrine and Discipline announced by The Tathâgata, not long, Ânanda, will religion endure; but five hundred years, Ânanda, will the Good Doctrine abide. Just as, Ânanda, those families which consist of many women and few men are easily overcome by burglars, in exactly the same way, Ânanda, when women retire from household life to the houseless one, under a doctrine and discipline, that religion does not long endure. Just as, Ânanda, when the disease called mildew falls upon a flourishing field of rice, that field of rice does not long endure, in exactly the same way, Ânanda, when women retire from household life to the houseless one, under a doctrine and discipline, that religion does not long endure. Even as, Ânanda, when the disease called rust falls upon a flourishing field of sugar-cane, that field of sugar-cane does not long endure, in exactly the same way, Ânanda, when women retire from household life to the houseless one, under a doctrine and discipline, that religion does not long endure. And just as, Ânanda, to a large pond a man would prudently build a dike, in order that the water might not transgress its bounds, in exactly the same way, Ânanda, have I prudently laid down eight weighty regulations, not to be transgressed as long as life shall last.'"

Anagatavamsa states as follows.
"Thus have I heard.
On a certain occasion The Blessed One was dwelling at Kapilavatthu in Banyan Grove on the banks of the Rohanî River.
Then the venerable Sâriputta questioned The Blessed One concerning the future Conqueror:
'The Hero that shall follow you As Buddha, of what sort is he? Th' account in full I fain would learn. Declare to me, thou Seeing One.'
When he had heard the elder's speech, The Blessed One vouchsafed reply:
'I'll tell it thee. Sâriputta, Pray lend your ears, for I will speak. Our cycle is a happy one, Three Leaders have already lived, Kakusandha, Konâgamana, And eke the leader Kassapa. The Buddha now Supreme am I, But after me Metteyya comes, While still this happy cycle lasts, Before its tale of years shall lapse. This Buddha, then, Metteyya called, Supreme, and of all men the chief--'
(Then follows a history of the previous existence of Metteyyo, with the three Buddhas, Sumitto, Metteyyo, and Muhutto, during twenty-seven Buddhas, and finally at the time of the Buddha gotama, when he was born as son of Ajâtaçattu, prince of Ajita. On page ca begins the future history of Metteyya with a quotation of the recension compiled in verse. Then follows the description of the gradual declension of the holy religion: )
'How will it occur? After my decease, first will occur the five disappearances. And what are the five disappearances? The disappearance of the attainments, the disappearance of the method, the disappearance of learning, the disappearance of the symbols, the disappearance of the relics. These are the five disappearances that are to occur.
The attainments:--Only for a thousand years from the time The Blessed One passes into Nirvana will the priests be able to acquire the analytical sciences. Then as time goes on my disciples will attain only to never returning, to once returning, to conversion. As long as such exist the disappearance of the attainments will not yet have occurred. But with the death of the last disciple that has attained to conversion the attainments will have disappeared.
This, O Sâriputta, is the disappearance of the attainments.
Disappearance of the method:--My disciples being unable to realize the trances, the insights, the Paths, and the Fruits, will keep only the four purities of conduct. Then as time goes on they will keep only the commandments forbidding the four deadly sins. As long as there are a hundred or a thousand priests who keep the commandments forbidding the four deadly sins, the disappearance of the method will not have occurred. But when the last priest shall break the precepts, or shall die, the method will have disappeared.
This, O Sâriputta, is the disappearance of the method.'
(Disappearance of learning:--As long as the text of the Three Baskets, which is the word of The Buddha, and as long as their commentaries are extant, the disappearance of learning will not have occurred. But as time goes on there will be irreligious kings of base extraction, and the courtiers and others in authority will be irreligious, and then the country people throughout the kingdom will be irreligious. On account of their irreligion the god will not rain in due season, and the crops will not flourish properly. And when the crops do not flourish, those who are wont to give the reliances to the congregation of the priests will be unable to do so any more. And the priests, not receiving the reliances, will not teach the novices, and as time goes on learning will disappear. When it disappears, it is the Great Work that first disappears; when that has disappeared, then the Yamaka, the Kathâ-Vatthu, the Puggala-Paññatti, the Dhâtu-Kathâ, the Vibhanga, and the Dhamma-Sangani do so. When the Abhidhamma-Pitaka has disappeared, the Suttanta-Pitaka will also disappear. When the Suttanta disappears, it is first the Anguttara-Nikâya that disappears, and when the Anguttara-Nikâya disappears, then the Samyutta-Nikâya, the Majjhima-Nikâya, the Dîgha-Nikâya, the Khuddaka-Nikâya will disappear. My disciples will only remember the Jâtaka together with the Vinaya-Pitaka. It is, however, only the well-conducted priests that will remember the Vinaya-Pitaka. But as time goes on they will be unable to remember the Jâtaka, and first the Vessantara Birth-Story will disappear, and when the Vessantara Birth-Story has disappeared . . . the Apannaka Birth-Story will disappear. When the Jâtaka has disappeared, they will only remember the Vinaya-Pitaka. As time goes on the Vinaya-Pitaka will disappear, but as long as a four-line stanza remains among men, so long the disappearance of learning will not have occurred. But when a pious king shall cause a purse containing a thousand pieces of money to be placed in a golden casket on the back of an elephant, and shall cause proclamation up to the second and third time to be made throughout the city to the sound of the drum, as follows: 'Anyone who knows a single stanza spoken by The BuddhasB, let him take these thousand coins together with this elephant,' and yet shall fail to find anyone who knows a four-line stanza, and shall receive again the purse containing the thousand pieces into the royal palace, then the disappearance of learning will have occurred.)
'This, O Sâriputta, is the disappearance of learning. Now as time goes on the last of the priests will carry their robes, their bowls, and their tooth-sticks after the manner of the naked ascetics. They will take a bottle-gourd, make of it a begging-bowl, and carry it in their arms, or in their hands, or in the balance of a carrying-pole. And as time goes on a priest will say, "What is the good of this yellow robe?" and cut a small piece of yellow cloth, and tie it around his neck, or his ears, or his hair, and devote himself to husbandry or trade and the like, and to taking care of wife and children. Then he will give gifts to the southern congregation. And the fruit of this gift, say I, will be a myriadfold. As time goes on the priests will say, "What do we want with this?" and they will throw away the piece of yellow cloth and persecute the wild animals and birds of the forest, and thus the disappearance of the symbols will have occurred. This, O Sâriputta, is the disappearance of the symbols.'
'Thereupon, the dispensation of The Supreme Buddha being now five thousand years old, the relics will begin to fail of honor and worship, and will go wherever they can receive honor and worship. But as time goes on they will not receive honor and worship in any place. Then, when the dispensation has disappeared, the relics will come from every place; from the serpent world, from the world of the gods, and from the Brahma-world; and having congregated together at the throne under the Great Bo-tree, they will make an effigy of The Buddha and perform a miracle resembling the double-miracle, and will teach the Doctrine. Not a single human being will be found at that place; but all the gods from ten thousand worlds will come together and listen to the Doctrine, and many thousands of them will attain to the Doctrine. And these will cry aloud, saying, "Divine sirs, on the seventh day from now our One Possessing the Ten Forces will pass into Nirvana." Then they will weep, saying, "From henceforth we shall be in darkness." Then the relics will put forth flames of fire and burn up that effigy without remainder.'
'This, O Sâriputta, is the disappearance of the relics.'
(Immediately after this, there follows an account of the destruction of the Kappa [World-Cycle]. The verse recension does not run on continuously in the compilation. The verses are interrupted by prose insertion, e. g., on page na there is inserted the ancient history of Mahâpanâda; on page tha there is a description of the capital of King Sankha. Further on page da there is described the attainment of pâramita [the Perfections], the conception and birth of Metteyya, his palaces, his life there, his departure from home, and his death. On page na is depicted the sacred tree and the body of the future teacher. This recension ends thus:
'But who shall not behold Metteyya, The Blessed One? and who shall behold him?')
'One who creates a schism in a church, as it is said, "Devadatta remains in hell for the entire world-cycle," as well as all others born in the Avîci hell, from performing the five crimes that constitute "proximate karma," those cherishing wholly heretical views, and those who slander the noble disciples, shall not see him. The naked ascetics who create a schism by denying the congregation allowable privileges shall not see him. All other beings who give gifts, keep the precepts, keep fast-days, fulfil their religious duties, found shrines, plant sacred fig-trees, parks and groves, make bridges, clear the highways, take their stand in the precepts, and dig wells, shall see him. Those who, in their longing for a Blessed One, shall make a gift even if only of a handful of flowers, or of a single lamp, or of a mouthful of food, shall see him. Those who feel pleasure at meritorious deeds shall see him. Those who further the religion of The Buddha, prepare the pavilion and the seats for the preachers of the Doctrine, bring forward the fan, make offerings of cloth, canopies, garlands, incense, or lamps, or are stanch sustainers of the ministrations of the Doctrine, shall see him. Those who listen to the Vessantara Birth-Story shall see him, likewise those who give to the congregation offerings of food etc. shall see him. Those who wait on their mothers and their fathers, and perform respectful duties for their elders among their kinsfolk shall see him. Those who give ticket-food, fortnightly food, and food on fast-days, those who practise the ten means of acquiring merit shall see him. And when they have listened to the Doctrine of The Blessed Metteyya, they shall attain to saintship.'
Then our Blessed One, in order to show who of those about him were to become Buddhas, said:
'Metteyya excellent, Râma, Pasenadi Kosala, 'Bhibhû, Dîghasoni and Samkacca, Subha, the Brahman Todeyya, '
'Nâlâgiri, Palaleyya, These ten are Future Buddhas now, And in due course, in time to come, Wisdom Supreme shall they attain.'"

As far as the Chinese Buddhist Canon, prophecy of the new Buddha, Maitreya, is seen at Taisho02n0125 p0818c18 in Book of Ekottara Agama (增壹阿含經; Zengyi Ahanjing; Numbered Discourses) of Mahayana Buddhism.
(0125 (n0125) is the text No. of Ekottara Agama in Taisho Tripitaka. Taisho Tripitaka is in a sense the de facto standard of Mahayana Buddhism's scriptures. Taisho02 or T02 means the second volume of the complete works of Taisho Tripitaka. "p" is page. "c" in this case specifies the third column in the page. "18" in this case specifies the line number in the column.)

Taisho02n0125 p0818c18 tells that
彌勒 (pinyin: "mile"; ancient Chinese transliteration from Sanskrit) means maitreya in Chinese.
It means
"in the future world, Buddha named Maitreya will appear. At that time, the name of the country is chicken (cock or hen) head, where a king governs."
Rael was born in France and a cock (Gallic rooster) is a symbol of France possibly came from homonymy of rooster (gallus) and Gauls (Gallus) in Latin. In addition, Charles de Gaulle was the Prime Minister of France at that time (until January 1946 CE).

The time when Maitreya appears is implied in the Chinese Buddhist Canon at Taisho0397 Vol.13 p363a25- and p375b15- in Book of "Maha-vaipulya-maha-samnipata" (大方等大集經; Dafangdeng Dajijing; Extensive Great Collection Scripture) or just referred to as "Maha-samnipata" (大集經; Dajijing; Great Collection Scripture).
Taisho13n0397 p363a25-b23 tells that
"我之正法 熾然在世 乃至一切諸天人等 亦能顯現平等正法 於我滅後五百年中 諸比丘等 猶於我法解脫堅固 次五百年 我之正法 禪定三昧得住堅固 次五百年 読誦多聞得住堅固 次五百年 於我法中多造塔寺得住堅固 次五百年 於我法中闘争言頌白法隱沒損減堅固了."
It means
"My right teachings glow in the world and in the heaven, the right teachings are widely put into practice. Monks will well keep my teachings for 500 years after my death. Regarding my right teachings, spiritual firm concentration through sutra recitation will be kept for next 500 years. Sutra recitation and hearing will be kept for next 500 years. Among my right reachings, temples and towers will be built for next 500 years. Fights and quarrels will occur on my teachings and teachings will be diminished for next 500 years. You should know these."
Thus Buddha prophesied 2,500 years after his death will be age of dacadence.
Subsequently, Taisho13n0397 p375b15-377a17 tells about the age of decadence.
"自他國兵起 曜入非常宿 大地普震動 白虹妖星墮 時氣多疫病 焚燒諸聚落 速壞國城邑."
It means
"Armies of nations rise, revolution of the sun and stars is irregular, lands are vibrated, a weird star falls, diseases are spread, villages are burnt, cities are destroyed."
Then, Taisho13n0397 p377a17 tells about appearance of Maitreya.
"大眾皆默然 唯有賢劫眾 彌勒為上首 一切皆悉起 合掌而白佛 咸作如是言 我不詣餘方 護持佛正法 盡我精進力 成熟大菩提 隨於彼時中 應機而說法 欲有留難時 我等不能遮 法欲滅盡時 我亦不能遮."
It means like
"Ordinary people become silent, yet there are wise people, while Maitreya rises, all stand, pray, and say as follows. I will keep the teachings of Buddha ...."

Consequently, it could be interpreted that 2,500 years after Buddha's death is the age of decadence and Maitreya (messiah) will appear at that time.
The date of Buddha's death is uncertain, while it would be dated to 486-400 BCE, thus it may imply Maitreya will appear around 2000 CE.

The Ekottara Agama of the Chinese Buddhist Canon of Mahayana Buddhism roughly corresponds to the Anguttara Nikaya of the Pali Canon of Theravada Buddhism. However, above verses would not be seen in the Anguttara Nikaya or the Pali Canon, since as mentioned before, each school was particular about its beliefs respectively, details might have altered and some sutras were ignored, created, or added in accordance with each denomination's view (or possibly additional inspiration evoked by Yahweh) and they are to a certain extent different each other.
